Trainer Suite Privacy Policy
Effective 6 November 2026 · Smart Fusion Designs (“we”, “us”) · Trainer Suite home
This policy explains what information the Trainer Suite apps for Android and Windows (“the app”) use, why, where it is stored and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where they apply to you, other privacy laws such as the GDPR.
1. Summary
- The app works without an account. Without signing in, your data stays on your device.
- Screen reading happens on your device. Screen images are never uploaded or stored by us.
- If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (account ID, name, email address and profile picture) and store your collection data in your private cloud account so it syncs.
- We do not sell your information, and we do not share your collection data with advertisers.
- You can delete your account and its cloud data from inside the app at any time.
2. Information the app uses
| Information | When | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen content while an overlay is on (via Android screen capture) | Only after you start an overlay and allow screen capture | Read Pokémon details, battles and menus to show help over the game | Processed on your device by Google ML Kit on-device text recognition. Not uploaded or saved by us. If you link a PC, the screen is streamed directly to your own PC over your local network, encrypted. |
| Your Pokémon collection, teams, battle log, candy counts and app settings | As you use the app | Core features | Stored on your device. Copied to your cloud account only if you sign in (see section 3). |
| Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture | Only if you choose “Sign in with Google” | Create your account and keep your data private to you | Google (sign-in provider) and our account service, Supabase |
| Steps and distance from Health Connect (Android) | Only if you allow Health Connect access | Show your Adventure Sync week progress | Read on your device only. Not uploaded, shared or used for advertising. |
| Calendar (Android) | Only if you allow calendar access | Add Pokémon GO events you choose to your calendar and check they were added | Your device's calendar only |
| Images you share to the app (screenshots) | Only when you share them | Read Pokémon details from them | Processed on your device |
| Subscription purchase records | Only if you buy Premium (when available) | Confirm and restore your subscription | Google Play and our account service |
| Technical request data (IP address, device and app version) | When the app downloads game data, rankings, event lists or Pokémon images | Deliver the files | Our data host (Cloudflare) and the public sources listed in section 5, which may keep standard server logs |
The app does not read or change Pokémon GO's game data, does not access your Pokémon GO account, and never taps or plays for you.
3. Cloud sync and storage
If you sign in, your collection, teams, battle log, candy counts and history are stored in your private account on Supabase, hosted in Sydney, Australia. Access rules ensure only your signed-in account can read or change your data. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting provider. On your devices, the saved sign-in session is encrypted using Android Keystore or Windows Data Protection.
4. Advertising and analytics
The app currently shows no ads and uses no third-party analytics or tracking. If we add ads for free users (Google AdMob), we will update this policy first, ask for consent where the law requires it, and never send your collection data to advertisers. Premium subscribers will not see ads.
5. Service providers
- Google: Sign in with Google, Google Play (distribution and billing), ML Kit (on-device text recognition; Google may collect limited usage and performance information about ML Kit, see ML Kit terms).
- Supabase: account and cloud sync (Sydney, Australia).
- Cloudflare: delivery of game data files.
- Public data sources the app downloads from directly: PvPoke (rankings and game data), PokeAPI (Pokémon images), ScrapedDuck (event and raid lists), via GitHub.
Some providers may process data outside Australia. We use providers that protect information to a standard comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. How long we keep information
Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud data stays until you delete it or your account. When you delete your account, your profile and cloud data are deleted from our live systems promptly and from backups within 30 days, except purchase records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
7. Your choices and rights
- Use without an account: everything except sync works signed out.
- Delete cloud data or your account: Settings → Account & sync → Delete account. Your device keeps its copy. You can also email us to request deletion.
- Permissions: screen capture, display over other apps, Health Connect and calendar access can be turned off at any time in your device settings.
- Access and correction: you can ask for a copy of your information or ask us to correct it. You can also export everything from Settings → Backup & import.
- Complaints: contact us first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
